Nominee Structure (General Explanation incl. UBO Disclosure)
A nominee is an arrangement in which a local representative acts as the registered point of contact; its use is limited to local procedures and acting as a contact window. It does not conceal the beneficial owner — UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner) disclosure obligations and CRS information exchange still apply.
- The work is done by the client, and UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner) disclosure is required (a nominee does not remove disclosure or reporting obligations)
- If you request a nominee arrangement, an additional fee applies. We provide an individual quotation before you apply.
- May be subject to information exchange systems such as CRS (under which account information can reach your country's tax authority)
Notes on KYC and FMS
KYC documents such as passport and proof of address are required (KYC = the bank's identity verification, "Know Your Customer"). Additional verification may be required depending on high-value transactions or crypto activity. Support is not available where there are antisocial-force or AML/CFT (anti-money-laundering / counter-terrorist-financing) concerns.
Georgia Sole Proprietor (IE) Registration | Document Support
The 0–5% rates below are a local Georgian category that applies only to Georgian tax residents. Even if a freelancer who is tax-resident elsewhere registers an IE, the income tax and local taxes of their country of residence generally still apply. Such income must be declared as foreign income in your home country, and Georgia's low local rate does not reduce your final tax burden at home. This table is general information and is not a claim of tax savings. Whether you may use this and how it is treated for tax purposes must be confirmed with a qualified tax professional in your country of residence.
Estimated Fees
- IE + SBS document support package: ¥288,000 (tax incl.)
- IE + account opening bundle: ¥498,000 (tax incl.)
IE + Small Business Status Overview (General Information)
| Annual Income (GEL) | Approx. JPY (≈¥60/GEL, 2026 est.) | Local Tax Rate in Georgia ※ This is not the tax you pay in your country of residence |
|---|---|---|
| ~ 30,000 | ~ ¥1.8M | 0% |
| 30,001 – 500,000 | ¥1.8M – ¥30M | 1% |
| 500,000+ | ¥30M+ | 3–5% |
※ These are categories within Georgia. Your final tax burden follows the tax law of your country of residence. Please consult a tax professional.
